Quick Mix Epoxy Floor Repair Epoxy

Preparation
As with all concrete repairs it is vitally important to remove all grease, oil, dust and other loose materials. Smooth substrates must be mechanically
roughened e.g. by scabbling or needle gun, followed by washing with clean water and allowed to dry.
Priming
The supplied primer should be used to prime surfaces before the application of Quick Mix Epoxy. Mix all the content of primer A and B thoroughly. Brush the mixed
contents well into the prepared surface taking care to avoid “puddling” in depressions. Quick Mix Epoxy should be applied when primer has started to
gel, but still has surface “tack”.
Mixing
Lightly spray onto mixing tools the solvent provided in order to avoid material sticking. Thoroughly mix the buff coloured resin base and dark grey coloured resin Hardener to produce a cohesive greenish/brown coloured trowelable mortar. This is best achieved by using a forced paddle type mixer.
Alternatively a vigorous hand mixing with a steel float will provide the desired consistency.
Placing
The mixed material should be applied firmly into the primed surface to ensure positive adhesion
with particular attention to edges and thin sections. The surface may be closed using a steel trowel.
Curing
Unlike cementitious systems Quick Mix Epoxy is self curing and requires no additional treatment.
